Paul Gately is Carnegie Professor of Exercise and Obesity, Director of MoreLife at Leeds Metropolitan University, and Visiting Professor in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.

Professor Gately’s primary research interest is Child and Adult obesity treatment strategies, in specialist, community and workplace settings. He runs MoreLife, an organisation delivering weight management services, providing specialist, residential, community and online weight loss programmes throughout the UK.

His specialties include weight loss in children and adults, assessment of methods used to assess overweight and obesity, and development of treatment programmes for overweight and obese children and adults.
